Epilogue‘ is the third in a series of EP’s released by Oli Brown & The Dead Collective. Consisting of Oli Brown on leads vocals & guitar, Sam Wood on guitar and Wayne Proctor on drums, this trio have a wealth of experience between them, and boy does it show.

I’ve been a fan of Oli‘s catalogue of work since his pinstripe trouser wearing blues days, Sam Wood is very much in demand as a guitarist, and Wayne Proctor is well known not only for his drumming prowess, but his production skills too.

What these three musicians have created over the three EP’s is a journey full of emotion.

Helped by what is exemplary production values, ‘Epilogue‘ draws you in, demands that you concentrate and listen to each of the four songs. Every time I’ve listened I’ve picked up subtle little components as it were. Masterpiece is not a word to be used loosely, but I am truly blown away by what I’m hearing.

Yes, yes I hear you cry, you’re a fan so of course you’re going to love it! Those people that know me, know only too well that I’m shall we say frank with my views and opinions. If ‘Epilogue‘ wasn’t up to scratch, then I’d say so.

Even if you think that it won’t be your ‘thing’, all I’m going to say is just take a listen and if nothing else, you’ll hear three musicians delivering a fantastic technical release. You never know, you might just end up loving it as much as I do.
