Review: Robert Jon & The Wreck / Caitlin Krisko And The Broadcast
Rescue Rooms (September 14th 2023)
Review/Photos: Dan Mann
I’ll kick off this here review with an honest confession, that until very recently I’d not heard of Caitlin Krisko And The Broadcast. Thank goodness I got a chance to see them, they’re a band that captured the crowd. No case here of one man and his pint watching the support, plenty of folk packed into the Rescue Rooms to watch frontwoman Caitlin Krisko & her band of merry men deliver an energetic & frankly joyful set. This performance has certainly put them on my radar for the future and I suggest you guys check them out at your earliest convenience.

Robert Jon & The Wreck made another visit to the UK, they’re becoming regular visitors to our shores, I only saw/photographed them at the end of July at Maid Of Stone Festival. Both myself & my better half agree that they’re more at home in a smaller venue rather than a festival stage, as some of the atmosphere is lost in a big field, this is a band who feed off of their audience, and this performance at the Rescue Rooms confirmed this. A bit of a cliché, but the place was rockin’ and the band were on fire. They crowd sang along and enthusiastically engaged with the band. This is how live music should be, loud, sweaty and leaving you wanting more!
