Impera - Empire of Sin

Escape Music have just released the following information.

Impera are a melodic rock “supergroup” that consists of a guitar player who, seemingly effortlessly, delivers stunning solos and riffs of that classic, timeless grit you thought were killed off by grunge coupled with a pounding bass that will put you through the wall. Add blistering drumming that’s as solid as it is technically challenging and on top of all that, add a vocalist that sings circles around the competition. There’s no keyboard player, no nonsense, no fuzz – just rock and roll!

The whole band consists of solid musicians who have earned their wings through hard work with an impressive number of world-class stars over the years. Their combined CV reads as a who’s who in today’s rock. In various constellations they have played with Vinnie Vincent and Bruce Kulick from Kiss, Brian Robertson from Thin Lizzy, John Levén from Europe (who guests on this new album) and many more. Guitarist Tommy Denander alone has played with almost everyone. His track record is jaw-dropping, having made solo albums with key members of Toto and performed on albums with Michael Jackson, Paul Stanley, Alice Cooper and Ricky Martin. His own Project “Radioactive” has recorded some fine melodic rock songs.

“We all started to play because of Kiss”, J.K states. We’re huge Kiss fans and collectors and even good friends with them. Kiss is the reason we discovered how great rock and roll is.  And following their tradition, you can count on a stage show that will take your breath away, complete with fireworks, smoke, fire and all hell’s breaking loose! The amount of powder used in a single show would put the defence of a small European country to shame.

When “Legacy of Life” hit the streets back in October 2012 everyone was so excited with the fresh sound these four guys had injected into the melodic rock industry. The follow up “Pieces of Eden” was a grand extension from this powerful foursome and so it leads us into 2015 and a new album “Empire of Sin” will be unleashed upon us. This time Impera turn on some real feisty hard rock with songs like “The Beast is dead” and “Don’t stop”. It’s nice to see John Leven make a guest appearance on “Thunder in your heart”, a song he co-wrote and it’s a song that really hits the spot.

Impera have matured and honed their sound to perfection and this is their best outing yet.

Impera is:

Matti Alfonzetti – Vocals (Jagged Edge, Skintrade, Road To Ruin, Red, White & Blues)

Tommy Denander – Guitar (Toto, Paul Stanley, Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper)

J.K. Impera – Drums (Bruce Kulick, Graham Bonnet, Vinnie Vincent, John Corabi, Brian Robertson

Mia Klose

This brand new action packed video captures Mia and her band of renegades in full effect with scenes from the dressing room, soundcheck, live stage show and greeting the fans…  and you might even catch a glimpse of Steel Panther frontman Michael Starr if you’re quick. It was filmed on location by Chris Dart  and edited by Rupa Rathod.
Mia Klose released a new single “Living For Love” on 24th November. The single follows up her debut album “London” which was released to critical acclaim in August 2012. Through a whirl of gigs festivals and touring in support of the album over the last 2 years she has established strong fan-base and added over 15,000 followers online. Mia went out on tour as main support with Steel Panther in March 2014 to play a number of sold out shows in both the U.K and Germany and played a very well reviewed show at the prestigious Download Festival in the UK.
The new single ‘Living For Love’ is a teaser of what we can expect next from the young Swedish Bombshell. The song, co-written by Mia Klose, Jonny Nonsense and Jonny Scaramanga who also played for Europe’s ‘Kee Marcello’, was recorded and produced by Tony Wilson at Silverlion Studios in London except for the drums which were recorded at Sinewave Studios, Tamworth. The music is performed by four masters of rock:- C-Rexx (bass), Jonny Nonsense (guitar), Kalle Arheden (guitar) and Henry Rogers, voted Best Drummer of 2013 by the Classic Rock Society, (drums).
“Living for Love has become my favourite song in our live set and I’m really happy with the way this recording has come out and my fans all round the world will be able to hear it. I can’t wait to dig in to all my new material and hit the road again with a brand new set!”

REVOLUTION SAINTS is the new hard rock / melodic rock eponymous debut album from Doug Aldrich (ex-Whitesnake), Jack Blades (Night Ranger) and Deen Castronovo (Journey). The new album will be released on CD, Deluxe Edition, Digital Download and 180 gram vinyl by Frontiers Records in Europe on February 20, in the UK on February 23, and in the USA on February 24.

Superbly handling drums and lead vocals is Deen Castronovo. Already renowned for his drum talents and backing vocals in Journey, Bad English and more, Deen’s excellent vocal talents are in the spotlight on the album. On bass, and co-lead vocals on a few tracks, Jack Blades is well known for his melodic, yet hard rocking approach to songwriting and playing via multiple classic albums by his main band Night Ranger, as well as with the Damn Yankees and the Shaw/Blades releases.

On guitar, Doug Aldrich was excited to lend his fiery blues guitar attack to such a unique and melodic band. Doug, who just left Whitesnake after a fruitful 12 year run (including co-writing 2010s critically acclaimed “Forevermore” release) and also of Burning Rain and formerly of DIO, has a deep pedigree and is one of today’s most respected guitarists.

The debut album brings back the classic melodic rock style to where it should be: inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies and musicianship to die for, and features special guests including Alessandro Del Vecchio, and Journey’s  Neal Schon and Arnel Pineda.

American Mafia

American Mafia have released a brand new video for ‘Friendly Fire’

The track is taken from the band’s debut album ‘Rock N’ Roll Hit Machine’

The “brain-child” of Tom Jude (Doro Pesch/Holy Water) on guitar & Freddy Villano (Quiet Riot/Widowmaker/Holy Water) on bass, American Mafia also includes Bobby Marks (Dokken) on drums and features an impressive cast of outstanding rock vocalists lending their superb vocal talents in the form of John West (Badlands/Artension/Royal Hunt), Jimmy Kunes (Cactus/Flood the Engine), Don Chaffin (VOX/Red Lamb), Mike DiMeo (Riot/Masterplan/The Lizards), Ed Terry (Rondinelli/Rage & Beyond) & David Knight.

The album is available now from Grooveyard Records

They say good things come in threes… Swiss / American rockers Khaøs released ‘Risen’, their stunning debut full-length album via MRR Records just last month, days later they released a second single, ‘Crisis Factor’ and a lyric video. Now the band have posted the third single from the debut and a brand new music video to go along with it.

Entitled ‘Exalted’, this song is something singer Chandler Mogel holds quite close. “It’s an emotional song that many people can identify with,” comments guitarist Mark Rossi. “On the lyrical side ‘Exalted’ is also a very personal song.” Chandler adds, “This song is simply about finding my true self by helping others. This is a part of me that I can’t deny, so why not write a song about it?”

Shot in a factory hall called ‘Hamelhalle’ in Switzerland, Mark explains more about the video and how it was director Can Isik who came up with the concept. “For this video Isik’s idea was to have the band performing in a bright lit huge hall with a lot of windows. It’s a performance clip with a frame story and it’s in opposition to the darker mood with pushed contrasts and desaturated colors we used in the ‘After The Silence’ video. ‘Exalted’ shows a more relaxed and natural atmosphere.”

Isik comments, “I imagined as many extras as possible – young and old, beautiful and special, characters out of real life – a community of people… The goal was to produce a positive emotional clip about people in need of finding the way to exaltation.”

American rockers Kantation have released a video for the track ‘The Maze’

The song is off their self titled album released earlier this year.

In other band news, their soon to be released album Discovery, a newly remixed and remastered version of the first album is now available for pre-order.
