To quote main man Mat Sinner “When we were younger and new to the music business, we were proud to be part of the Noise Records family and to get the chance to sign a contract with them. Reading this contract so many years later, you can’t but shake your head in disbelief and wonder what must have possessed us. The exclusive rights to the recordings have since been bought and sold numerous times with the effect that none of those who owned them has ever had any relation to either the production itself or to how it was created. Today, the older Sinner songs still enjoy great popularity within the scene. We continue to play them live even though the CDs aren’t available any longer. It is Universal who owns the albums at the moment – but does not distribute the CDs. Therefore, they’re to be held responsible that CDs from this era can only be purchased at exorbitant prices.

Unfortunately, the musicians and songwriters involved have no means of dealing with the matter – our hands are tied. When I offered to do a remix on several songs for a Best Of album, I was told that the original tapes have mysteriously disappeared and were probably burned in an ‘accidental’ fire. That much about the pearls of our past.

AFM Records and I – business partners for many years – came up with the idea to once again record the best songs from this era. The album was supposed to feature several guests and to come with a wicked fan package. Initially, I was skeptical, but recent shows have shown the amount of fun and energy the band would put into these songs. However, I will only put this plan into action under one condition: the whole band has to lock themselves into the studio and record the whole thing together. I’m fed up with the assumption that it works if everyone records their stuff at home or comes cheaper. That’s bullshit – this challenge meets us at exactly the right time and we’ll face it!”

Daylight Robbery are pleased to announce their new single and video ‘Samarah Never Sleeps’ from their new album ‘Seconds Out’. The single will be on general release from Wednesday November 20th from all popular download site including iTunes and Amazon.

The new album promises more huge melodies and anthem-like choruses coupled with high levels of musicianship, and will be the first album to feature the bands new keyboard player David Billingham, and the return of the bands original drummer – Chris Miller.

This release is the first since their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Cross Your Heart’ hit the shelves exactly two years ago and launched the band into the public eye with supports slots to rock legends Uriah Heep and progressive rock giants It-Bites….cumulating with a legendary performance on the main stage at the inaugural HRH/AOR festival alongside Tesla and FM. The single and video ‘CROSSING THE GREAT DIVIDE’ was subsequently released with the accompanying video documenting the bands HRH/AOR performance. The release went on to  beat new songs from Queensryche, FM and Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) in a Classic Rock Magazine readers poll earlier this year.

‘Seconds Out’ will be released in 2014.

Virgil McMahon, guitarist and vocalist of Virgil and the Accelerators, has been announced as the winner of the Best Guitarist category in the European Blues Awards.  The whole band are delighted by this and Virgil made the following statement:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I can’t thank you enough for all the love and support you have shown towards me and the band.  I’m gob smacked and humbled beyond words that the first thing I have ever won in my life is a guitar playing award.  I’m really moved to tears by it and I am in complete shock.  This award isn’t for me but it’s for the good of my band.  You all make our lifelong dreams a reality and without you all this wouldn’t be possible.  I love you all with all my heart! Thank you for being there for us because we are always gonna be here for you!  I’d like to share this award with my good friend Ryan McGarvey, Samantha Fish and Anna Popovic.  Thank you to the European Blues Awards I am honored and privileged.”

The formidable driving force behind I AM I is singer ZP Theart. A founding member of the renowned UK metal act Dragonforce, he made four studio albums and a live record with the band and toured the world for a decade, eventually performing to audiences of up to 85,000 people. His time with the group also saw him nominated for a Grammy in 2009.

After his departure from Dragonforce in 2010, ZP worked tirelessly to put together his own group and, after carefully handpicking a set of expert musicians, the result was one of the most exciting new rock bands of 2012, I AM I. A promotional single entitled ‘Silent Genocide’ in the summer was followed by the release of a debut album, ‘Event Horizon’, in September 2012. Written and produced by ZP and Polish born guitarist Jacob Ziemba and mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow (Helloween/Masterplan), its stunning blend of melody filled metal and riff based rock topped off by ZP’s soaring vocal performances completed a package that was acclaimed worldwide by critics and audiences alike. A plethora of excellent UK reviews included:

“Superb debut built around stratospheric vocals, gravity-defying hooks and guitar-based drama.” KERRANG!

“A promising debut. ZP Theart’s voice remains as commanding and melodic as ever.” METAL HAMMER

“Soaring, majestic, triumphant, inspiring and uplifting.” POWERPLAY

Released shortly after their first festival performance at Bloodstock Open Air, I AM I supported the album with a set of UK dates. Tours with Ugly Kid Joe and Skid Row ensued, while the band also performed electric and acoustic sets at both Hard Rock Hell 2012 and Download 2013. Generating positive reactions wherever they have played, the band are an absolute must see live, while ZP performs honestly and effortlessly, epitomising everything a real rock front man should be.

Having issued a cover version of John Farnham’s classic ‘You’re The Voice’ as a single in late 2012, I AM I are now set to unveil a brand new song entitled ‘See You Again’. Explains ZP: ‘See You Again’ is our take on something that’s been missing from the Rock scene for some considerable time now –  a proper Rock ballad. Releasing a ballad as a single is probably not what most people would expect from us, but that’s exactly why we have gone ahead and done it!” As for its subject matter: “Since the dawn of mankind we have longed for a lost loved one once they left this consciousness, knowing after life we will all meet up again in some way. The intent of this song is to take the edge off the waiting game. You may be gone, but while I’m here I’ll remember you, and when it’s time, I will see you again.”

With live dates currently being arranged for the autumn of 2013, fans will soon have an opportunity to witness a reconfigured line-up of I AM I, which has recently seen the former Power Qwest duo of guitarist Andy Midgley and drummer Rich Smith join band mainstays ZP, guitarist Jacob Ziemba and bassist Neil Salmon to complete a formidable quintet.

‘See You Again’ is released on 11th November 2013.
