Review: Trucker Diablo – Tail End of a Hurricane

I must admit that Trucker Diablo hadn’t really hit my radar properly until I saw their storming live performance at Call Of The Wild Festival two years ago and I kicked myself for not paying them more attention beforehand.

So it was with a good helping of anticipation that I gave ‘Tail End of a Hurricane‘ it’s first spin a few weeks ago and I’ve been dipping back into it quite a few times since.

Well what can we expect I hear you cry…

Well, what is on offer is a huge slab of energetic rock, that’ll reach out and grab you by both lugholes and give you a vigorous shaking! This is a treble expresso of rock that gives you such a jolt your left with a smile that’ll last the rest of the day and then some.

Trucker Diablo don’t just deliver attitude, they’re obviously breeding it  in some secret lab somewhere as at no time does ‘Tail End of a Hurricane‘ come up short.

From ‘I Am Still Alive‘ which certainly covers the last year’s events, the catchy title track with it’s foot stomping riff, to my favorite track of the album, the truly awesome ‘Bury The Ocean‘, a song with such poignant lyrics and which over the last minute and a half grows and grows to a strings infused crescendo!

The songs contained within ‘Tail End of a Hurricane‘ really deserve to be heard live and fingers crossed that’ll be sooner rather than later!

Grab yourselves a copy of ‘Tail End of a Hurricane‘ and prepare to be launched headfirst into the rest of the week.
